It’s time to conquer the last of the South Wales three peaks - the Skirrid! (Ysgyryd Fawr)

You’ll need a (free) ticket to this event.
Meeting time 10:30am. We’ll set off at 10:40am - aim to arrive at 10am to leave plenty of time.
Meeting point National Trust Skirrid Car Park, about 1 hour drive from Bristol.
Difficulty This is a challenging walk with a long steep ascent at the beginning. It will then be some downhill, a little up again, then back down to the bottom.
Route The OS Maps route
Toilets At the Copper Kettle Tea Room, 3 min walk from the car park. You may need to buy something to use the toilet.
Cafe/pub Copper Kettle Tea Room is open until 5pm for some well deserved cake afterwards! Bring a packed lunch for the walk.
Parking National Trust Skirrid Car Park. Free for members, £4 all day otherwise.
Public transport Not really an option - find or offer a lift in the Rideshare Whatsapp group.

Dogs Well behaved dogs are welcome. Bring a lead.
Access info Gravel tracks, mud and grass paths. Not suitable for wheelchairs, and it’s a steep climb and descent (though we can take regular stops).
