Westonbirt Arboretum

  • Westonbirt Arboretum (map)

We’re going back to the arboretum for some spring time trees!

3.2 miles, 3 hours

You’ll need to book a place on this walk.

Thanks to the community scheme at the arboretum, we’ve got free passes for our hikers to get in. Once you’ve booked your place above (free or donation), you won’t need to pay anything else to get in.

You can come on a walk with the group, or make your own way round (no offence taken!). We’ll go at a relaxed pace. Bring a packed lunch or get something at the cafe.

Meeting time 11:30am, to set off at 11:40am.

Meeting point Meet outside the main entrance to the welcome building (don’t go through the ticket gate - the ticket you book with us is not a ticket for the arboretum). 40 minute drive from Bristol.

Difficulty Not too challenging. Mostly flat and paved. Relaxed pace. About 1.5 hours walking time, with a longer stop for lunch.

Route OS maps route

Toilets There are toilets at the start, end and halfway round.

Cafe/pub There’s a cafe we can go to at the end of the walk.

Public transport Tricky for this one - find or offer a lift in the Rideshare Whatsapp group.

Leaders Josie and Kate - see a pic of them on our team page, so you know who to look for.

Dogs Dogs are welcome, but they can’t go in the old arboretum, which part of our walk will go through.
